Aidin Nikkhah Bahrami (RIP)

Aidin Nikkhah Bahrami (آيدين نيكخواه بهرامي) (February 5, 1982 – December 28, 2007)

Both Aidin and his brother Samad, were members of Iranian basketball national team for a long time. He played a crucial role in Iran's qualification for the 2008 Olympic Games, a dream which came true after half a century and Iran took the championship in the whole big continent of Asia.

Having played his last game with Saba Battery against Pardis, Aidin died on December 28th 2007 at 4:00am, on the way to Noshahr in the northern province of Mazandaran, when he lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle then collided with the crash barrier. It was reported that he died on the scene.

It was also reported that there were two other passengers in his vehicle at the time of collision. One of them (his fiancée) also died but the other one has been discharged from hospital without serious injuries. He was laid to rest on Saturday 29th December 2007 at Tehran cemetery (Behesht-e Zahra) in the “celebrity” section (Naam Avaran).

The vedio is a tribute to him.

You can see Muharraq players, Isa Ebrahim, Ebraheem Derazi and Ahmed Al-Doy at 1:07 of the vedio. They played against him in The Asian Cup in Malaysia 2003.

Rest in Peace Aidin اللة يرحمك
